About Us

Roaring Fork Landscapes is a culmination of long term expertise, creative vision and professionalism. Owner and designer, Tom Friel, first began in the business as a prodigy under his father’s successful company, Friel Landscaping, at the young age of eight years old. After attending Villanova University, he came to Colorado and established Blue River Landscaping in Summit County in 1992. Business soon grew across the state and Roaring Fork Landscapes was established in Aspen and the surrounding area in 2002.

Roaring Fork Landscapes is known for its vast knowledge of irrigation and erosion control as well as intricate water features. Projects range from intimate courtyards to large scale multiple use domestic and commercial landscapes. In addition, the company is celebrated for its patio design and installation.      

As Senior Foreman, Tom follows the strictest standards of ethics with building specifications and employee performance providing only the highest quality of work. Tom's high standards reflect his personal values of building relationships and delivering quality service to his clients.
